Do I need to have experience?
Ideally we would like you to have some experience but it is not essential as we provide comprehensive training. We will also assist you in achieving your NVQ 2 in social care.

How long from applying until I begin working?
When we have received your application we can decide whether we think you will be suitable, we then invite you to attend an interview.
We apply for your references and an enhanced CRB and POVA check. Once these are back satisfactorily and have checked your eligibility to work in the UK we are able to offer you employment.

What is a CRB and POVA check?
CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) implemented the disclosure service to provide criminal record checks for all individuals who come into contact with children, the elderly and other vulnerable people through their work. This service extends the availability of police record checks to all organisations, which previously could only be accessed by certain public sector organisations. POVA (Protection of Vulnerable Adults) scheme is a register of professionals who have harmed vulnerable adults in their care.

Do you employ workers from overseas?
Yes, as long as you are eligible to work in the UK and can provide the necessary documents and you have a good command of written and spoken English.
You will also need to have a UK address and a British bank account. We can sometimes assist with short-term accommodatio

Do I need to be able to drive?
For Domiciliary care you will most certainly need a car and clean driving licence allowing you to drive in the UK.
For Live-in care and Residential establishments a car is useful but you could use public transport.

Will you guarantee me work?
We are unable to guarantee regular hours due to the nature of the work we provide. Obviously it is in our interest to try and ensure that everyone is working and a lot depends on your availability and suitability to work available.
